Thanks Jackie! Always on point, needed a jolt here as I feel in between two of these jobs, just need to embrace where I am and keep learning and growing.
Great article, Jackie! :) A lot of PMs would appreciate the work you've put into explaining the efficacies of the role.
The only piece of advise I'll like to put forward here is to use the right set of Project Management Tools to ensure goals are met. Most PMs aren't even aware of the tools that can help them stay organized, and before they realize, the projects goals and expectations get lost in translation. Having a clarity on who's doing what, when and who's work is dependent on whom is very important for a PM to deliver projects on time and keep climbing the ladder.
Agree only to a certain. Extend. A tool is a tool. With or without a fool. Meaning I can have the greatest process and goals from the start. If I don’t follow through and use all that along the way I will fail. Or do you mean if you use „the right“ tools you are more likely to do so? To make it more tangible. E.g jotting down your success criteria for a feature/solution?
